What does liposuction entail?

Ms Prousskaia makes small incisions of 5mm in length in the area being treated. Fat is removed through multiple cannulas inserted into the incisions.

Many of Elena’s patients have treatment on the inner and outer thighs, the stomach, abdomen, hips, knees, and chin. Elena uses liposuction to improve the contours of the body. She can significantly improve the size and shape of the area around the hips and thighs, which is such a problem area for so many women.

Liposuction can take up to three hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. Most procedures require a general anaesthetic and an overnight stay. However, If the site to be treated is small, then Ms Prousskaia may treat you as a day patient using a local anaesthetic instead.

How long will it take to recover from liposuction?

You will experience some tenderness after surgery and will need to wear an elasticated support garment for a few weeks. Ms Prousskaia will review your progress at regular consultations for the first year after your surgery. Scarring is minimal after liposuction, and when you have fully recovered from your surgery, you will be delighted with your new shape. You will be able to fit into more fitted clothing, and you will have far more confidence in your appearance.
